Our Story

Green Door Co. was founded in 2013 in Charleston, SC by Heather Pierce. Having worked as an HR Director for numerous companies, she recognized that many organizations were unaware that they needed a partnership between people and process, between HR and Operations. Aligning people with purpose while removing obstacles, allows an organization to thrive even while facing unprecedented challenges.

An organization with a healthy culture embraces open communication, respects diversity, and promotes continuous learning. A strong sense of belonging and a shared vision are key to attracting and retaining top talent, ultimately, driving the success of the company.

Heather got her start in HR by recruiting customer service representatives to collect on overdue long-distance accounts 24/7. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? She reduced attrition from 85% to 37%, and from there she transitioned to employee relations and subsequently to creating HR functionalities from the ground up in construction, healthcare, IT, and more. Organizations large and small have relied on her expertise and she's got plenty of education to use for you.
